The One of Three (R)
Eleavor, palace and residence of the Queendom of Arbil. There were spires erected along her roads in her district, each ending in a hollow circle. Each circle represents the reign of a Queen, and there had been a total of 35 Queens ever since Arbil took the reign. Her mother, Auqa, kissed the hand of death at the hands of a Visitor. However, it was no ordinary visitory – it was Undermaster Lord Ghael the Wicked who stabbed her neck in her sleep. Auqa made a promise to root out the Visitors wherever they came, often sending imperial expeditions and mercenary companies to kill them even in their hiding places. It was a sound policy. Visitors are creations of the devil, a variation of sin reincarnated as a walking monster. Ghael is the original sin, the first supernatural being introduced to the world. According to the priestesses of (Name of Central Region Queendom), he was no more no less created as a normal visitor. He arose just like his other friends; that whenever an evil act is committed, the air swells in dark matter as the first visitor takes shape in misshapen human form. Unlike others of his creation, however, Ghael closely observed humanity's competitive nature to self-evolve. Upon discovering humanity's expression of greed and gluttony, he latched onto unsuspecting humans and absorbed their sin. He was prophesized to sleep for another 100 years, for only 800 years has passed since the Last Return.
The Queendom of (Name of central region queendom) prided itself as the protector of humanity and guardian of innocence. Often the unpredictable sister of the other two queendoms, Arbil descended from a line of Queens who'd judiciously sent orders written in religious fervor. The Queendom itself, as a whole, with some help from the Red Witches, originally overthrew Ghael and burned him underneath a smoldering ritual pit created by the first Archmistress of the Red Witches (???) . Arbil's mother made the first decree in her reign to root out Visitors, however small, from existence. Soldiers began shaping their swords in hooks and tridents, to latch onto the loose-mushy flesh that visitors shape themselves in. Auqa had made preparations, 100 years ahead of time, to weaken the presence of roaming visitors. She had not counted that Ghael himself would invade her bedroom.
Arbil saw the sprawling smoke of her capital city. Her balcony, coated in black granite paired well with her lively pink moon-shaped flowers which she have personally commissioned directly from the Free City States. The Four Families sent her a non-native plant, but the flowers fared well under the harsh long nights of (name of queendom). Her maiden (helper name, find one) was the first the break her silence, she spoke a somber tone, "There were 5 visitors, 2 of which had eluded the guards. The visitors took the victim's heirlooms. They ransacked necklaces (add variation place to store jewelry) but left the kitchen intact. They wanted prized possessions. Fortunately, the children were spared during the night." (Arbil's hand) "That makes 10 more incidents since last month. Oh, but I don't think it's of much concern so long as Ghael isn't present yet. His prophesy is long, and I wouldn't bet on anything less than an isolated incident of a family committing sin."
The maiden (name of helper) was taken off-guard. She was the closest out of all the maidens, and the queen's meandering way around critical questions has never made her at ease. Realizing that she shouldn't talk back against her, or use her image and name in any conversation, she simply suggested, "perhaps, it would be better to raise this issue among the advisors, they are usually zoned out unless you remind them, your grace." She bit her lip, hopefully, her statement didn't land as an attack on the queen's character now that she has thrown the queen's advisors under the bus. Arbil took a rose from one of the spinal branches dangling on the balcony pillar, its wet precipitation and soft texture nice to the touch. She simply said, "Well, that's for later."
